Yin Yoga Followed By Acupuncture For Deep Relaxation
Yin yoga is the fusion of traditional Indian yoga postures with the acupuncture channels understood in traditional Chinese medicine. By combining the postures to open the channels, with acupuncture to stimulate key points, you can expect a deeper opening of the body and relaxation of the mind. We call this combination Yin & Pin.
During a Yin & Pin session with Village Remedies, you will first complete a Yin yoga session to help open up the channels of the body. Then, during your shavasana, we will provide acupuncture points to deepen relaxation and continue to open the body.
We use points traditionally for helping calm the mind and nervous system, improving digestion, opening the airways and relaxing the chest and breathing. See the videos below for an example of the points we use and how you can perform acupressure on them yourself to help relax the body and wind down for sleep.
