Electro Acupuncture Sydney
Electro acupuncture is the use of electrical stimulation into muscle or targeted tissue via acupuncture needles. This is obviously a modern development in acupuncture and may be useful when working with certain conditions and situations involving:
- Muscles that are either too tight and/or too weak (see motor point acupuncture)
- Joint pain
- Disc injuries
- Injury to muscle, tendon, ligament or cartilage
- Nerve pain
At Village Remedies Sydney acupuncture clinics in Balmain and the CBD, we use electro acupuncture techniques where appropriate, but it is only a small part of our toolkit (also see distal acupuncture, dry needling and motor point acupuncture pages). Our practitioners have experience using electro acupuncture with clients who have had issues such as:
- Neck pain and restriction
- Lower back pain
- Hip pain
- Sciatica
- Headaches and migraines
- Rotator cuff injuries
- Shoulder impingement and pain
- Knee pain
- ITB (iliotibial band) pain
- Tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow
- Plantar fasciitis
- Achilles tendinopathy
- And many more chronic pain and sporting injury conditions
