New Hamstring Strain Recovery Video Resources
Hamstring strains are among the most common sporting injury, so we've put together some reference videos to guide clients through the recovery process. A hamstring strain can take between 1 week to 3 months or more depending on the severity of the tear. During that time, you will pass through 3 key phases of recovery with distinct goals and benchmarks for progression until you can return to full activity sport.
It is important that you take you're rehab seriously and work closely with your healthcare professional as one third of hamstring strains will re-injure within 12 months of returning to sport. Don't rush and work your way through the process using pain as your guide. This means that if an exercise or activity causes pain during or afterwards, stop or do less.
At Village Remedies we combine targeted and general treatment to help support your recovery process. This means that we will not only focus on the hamstring strain itself, but also look to help support recovery in general by reducing stress levels in the body, aiding sleep quality and promoting healthy digestion. We use both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to achieve this, with treatment strategies changing according to what phase of recovery you're in.
